BREAD ROLL

This is a very popular universal snack and pretty easy-to-make.


This is a very popular universal snack and pretty easy-to-make using potaoes and bread.
 
 

 Ingredients
Bread slices – 8-10 (with the crust removed)
Potato – 2 medium-sized
Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp
Salt to taste
Green chilli – 1 – finely chopped
Ginger – ½ “ – finely chopped
Red chilli powder – ¼ tsp
Coriander powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – ½ tsp
Amchur – ¼ tsp
Coriander leaves (chopped) – 1 tbsp
Oil for frying

Method
Boil the potatoes with turmeric powder and salt.
Peel and mash the potatoes.
Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, amchur powder, green chilli, ginger and coriander leaves and mix well.
Make 8-10 egg-shaped balls.
Gently wet each bread slice with water, taking care not to crumble it.
Place the oval potato ball in the middle of the wet bread and close from all sides and gently press it into shape.
Repeat with all the bread slices.
Heat oil in a kadhai and fry the bread rolls till they are evenly brown.
Serve hot with tomato ketchup / green chutney.
